Sales Accelerator – Dynamics 365 Sales Insight

During 2020 wave 1 release under continuous product enhancement, Microsoft has also released the public preview of Sales Accelerator as a new feature under Dynamics 365 Sales Insight add-on of D365 Sales module.

This is a very useful feature for Sales team as this provides a tailored experience for sellers by minimizing the time they spend on searching for the next best customer to reach out to.

Let’s understand how we can enable this feature & its use case in detail

Step 1: Go to Sales Hub -> Sales Insight Setting -> Global Settings -> Sales accelerator (preview).

On this screen click on ‘I agree’ check box & click on ‘Get Started’ to enable this feature in your instance.

Step 2: Now you can enable this feature for either Lead and Opportunity both or one of them along with default form it should show to the user.

Apart from this we can also restrict this feature by security role to make sure it is accessible to respective users as per requirement.

Finally you will need to ‘Publish’ so that this feature is available to end users.

Now to populate next best customer under ‘My Works’ area we will have to create sequences for the required entities like lead & opportunity.

Step 3: To create and enable the sequences click + New sequence

Step 4: Enter the Name, Description & Select the entity for this sequence

Step 5: Start creating your sequence using available Activities like Email, Phone call & Task as shown below.

Step 6: Post creating the entire sequence by adding activities and activating it, the screen will look like the below image

Step 7: After following all the steps you can make use of these sequences on different trigger point on lead & opportunity records. You can also link this sequence manually to any record by selecting the records in list view.

Finally, you should be able to see the Sales Accelerator (preview) option within My Work area under Sales Hub.

With this feature, Sellers can prioritize their customer list in a fast and easy way by using an intelligent work list.

The work list helps sellers reach out to the next best lead or opportunity by displaying relevant sales information and customer context that’s available immediately. This helps in making every communication more successful.
